Acoustic Neuroma
Pathophysiology |
A benign, slow growing schwann cell tumor on the vestibulocochlear nerve. Tumor is typically located at the cerebellopontine angle affecting the vestibular branch. Mostly idiopathic, with others occurring as an autosomal dominant form that manifests as neurofibromatosis type 2.

Unilateral auditory loss, dizziness and tinnitus
